LIA SCALLON AND THE SOUNDS OF SIRIUS
Lia Scallon is an Irish-born singer and sound healer now living in Australia.
There is simply nothing else quite like her Sounds of Sirius CD series.
Lia’s gift of song revealed itself during her search for answers to her own health challenges. She found herself led into the realm of Spirit and as she studied many and various healing modalities, her unique gift of channelled song emerged. In time, it became clear to her that this gift was to be used not only for her own healing, but for the healing and comfort of others, too.
In 2002, Lia released the first of her eight Sounds of Sirius albums. These recordings are musical meditations that provide a healing balm for the soul. Like much classical and sacred music, Lia’s melodies induce an immediate sense of deep calm and peacefulness. These unique vocal harmonics - which are accompanied by a beautiful Language of Light - have the ability to touch the listener in a profound way.
The Adyar Bookshop in Sydney, Australia described the CDs as, “rapturous invitations to meditation and contemplation and utterly unique”. Conscious Living magazine wrote, “There is magic in Lia’s voice that transcends the barriers of time and culture”. And Living Now magazine said, “ This music uplifts and thrills me. The Sounds of Sirius albums are a therapy in their own right, within the field of Sound Healing/Vibrational healing. Each one of the eight CDs in the series offers a beautiful healing gift from Spirit, which is received by the listener in a totally individual and personal way. Many therapists who use the Sounds of Sirius CDs in conjunction with their own work, find that these sacred harmonics add a profound dimension to each healing session, by bringing the client into a much deeper space of receptivity.
People may respond to the Sounds of Sirius in a variety of ways. Many listeners simply experience deep physical relaxation. Some will also experience emotional release, while others have spiritual or visionary insights. The consciousness is awoken at a level that is appropriate for the person receiving the sounds. Deep levels of the soul can be reached by these sacred melodies, which allows healing to take place.
Lia describes the sacred Light language that accompanies the beautiful melodies of Sirius, as the original language of the Soul. There is no need for the listener to translate or consciously understand the words because, at a deep level, the soul knows exactly what is being said and begins to remember its true origins. As the listener responds intuitively and spiritually to the melodies and words, they find themselves drawn into a great sense of peace and relaxation.
